Does "God" Hate The Poor?

With man conspiring to create havoc through terrorist attacks in some of the poorest places in the world like Mumbai,

Pakistan,

And Somalia.

And nature seeming to turn against those in some of the world's most impoverished areas - as did Katrina in New Orleans,

Or the Indian Ocean Tsunami,

Or earthquakes in rural regions of China - Can things get any worse for those who have the least?

Judging by the disaster in Haiti (already one of the world's poorest, most undereducated and disaster prone countries) - in a world gone mad, it's seems that the poor suffer the the most.

But what does any of this have to do with us?
