Religions are not the cause of the downfall of civilizations.
The "religious" are.
How is it okay to commit a sin (murder/honor killings) against someone else who may have committed a sin?
Christ didn't even condemn those who would kill him. In fact, he prayed for them.The only people condemned by Christ were the hypocrites and the arrogant.
It is a false notion that the purpose of religion is to govern, rule and/or oppress others.
The point of religion is to rule over and govern oneself.
