New Findings on Propecia...

Gentlemen, if worrying about hair loss is something that you have been losing sleep (and hair) over, you may want to think twice about seeing your doctor for a prescription to cure it. The Journal of Sexual Medicine recently conducted a study to examine the correlation between the prescription hair-growth drug Finasteride (commonly known as Propecia) and shall we say… problems in the bedroom.

The drug targets the production of testosterone to stop its conversion to dihydrotestosterone, which is associated with hair loss. With this dip in testosterone, romantic desires and performance also tend to take a plunge. While doctors used to believe that problem was temporary, research is finding that the average side effects last up to 40 months - with some up to 6 years!

For Propecia to continue to be effective, a patient must continue to take the medication indefinitely. For most men, this might not be a tradeoff that they are willing to commit to.

Here at our Orlando Plastic Surgery, Skin Care and Hair Restoration Center we offer the latest practice in hair restoration with the Neograft, a revolutionary hair transplantation system. In the hands of our highly trained staff, the Neograft allows for the transfer of hair, follicle by follicle, achieving a more natural look. No need to worry about your secret slipping out, unlike the traditional strip method, the NeoGraft provides permanent and natural looking results without scarring or downtime.
